Location: The Old Truman Brewery, The Loading Bay, Brick Lane, LONDON
Date: 4th-8th November 2011 (ONLY TWO DAYS LEFT)
Prepare for high (heeled) art at Shoes for Show. To those for whom shoes are just an intermediary between your foot and the ground, this free exhibition at the Old Truman Brewery will offer little in the way of cultural insight. But for anyone with even a glancing pedal interest, ‘Javari Presents The Sculptural Art of High Heels’ is well worth dipping a toe into. Curated by Shonagh Marshall, who has archived the collections of Christian Louboutin and Isabella Blow, it features stunning photography and many iconic shoes – including the Vivienne Westwood numbers that famously floored Naomi on the catwalk in 1993.
Christian Louboutin for the English National Ballet
Certain to create a buzz, the exhibition of couture shoes features a plethora of big name designers and owners. From the Gareth Pugh designed cuboid shoes for Beyonce’s Run the World music vid to the Swarovski embellished Christian Louboutin heeled ballet shoes, designed for the English National Ballet, there are some absolutely stunning examples of art meeting footwear featured in the exhibition.

We are delighted to announce our triumph at this years New Store Europe – Retail Week Interior Awards 2011. The 14th Annual Awards ceremony was held at the Hilton in Park Lane last Thursday 29th September, and we picked up THE SFD BEST POP-UP STORE prize. The award was for our design of Pop Store at the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham. We are pretty chuffed with this result as we were up against some heavyweight competition including design teams from; Debenhams, NIKE & Selfridges!
We were also nominated as finalists for THE NJ RICHARDS UK SPECIALIST STORE DESIGN OF THE YEAR AWARD 2011. The awards showcased tremendous efforts and achievements of other inspired retail designers whom we admire greatly.
Pop Store has many more exciting projects in the pipeline, locally and overseas and are currently working with Wildfox Couture on their retail rollout across America, as well as up coming projects for the Olympics next year… exciting times ahead.

Three must see musical feasts are in London this week, we wanted to point you in the right direction…
Tonight…One Mr. Liam G is heading to the Roundhouse this week as part of the annual iTunes festival with fellow Brits, Arctic Monkeys and Adele. Expect tracks with inspiration taken from the Beatles and Stones and some Brit Pop Bangers! The Steve Cradock band provide even more retro thrills (and no doubt the odd Ocean Colour Scene singalong) in support!
OK, so we have another ginger crush in the shape of Ed Sheeran, but he’s really rather top, seriously. The singer, songwriter, scatman and electronic looping genius supports Bruno Mars at the Roundhouse on July 8, following two headline gigs on Wednesday and Thursday at Scala. Get tickets now to avoid disappointment, as they say.
Sub Focus and friends…
Get ready… we have got Sub Focus, Toddla T, Hervé, Jack Beats, Surkin, Jaymo & Andy George to pick and mix from…
The London superclub, Fabric has an astonishing line-up across its sprawling dancefloors and nefarious corners this Friday (July 8). Fabric will also play host to legendary Notting Hill night YoYo. The latter’s Greenmoney and Seb Chew transport their Thursday night good vibes to the weekend. There’s a load of DJs we’ve never heard of too! Should be an amazing night!
